Corylopsis sinensis

Winter is just round the corner and what better time to consider and plant something that will give colour and joy in the late winter? This tall arching shrub exudes elegance with its soft green hazel nut like leaves that turn yellow in autumn and it is even better in late winter when its drooping spikes of scented soft yellow flowers are produced in abundance.

It can get to 4metres or so tall and about half as wide and low arching branches can be removed to allow access under and around it. So find a cool aspect away from hot winds perhaps on a southerly or easterly wall and be glad you selected this fine plant. I have well grown plants 3metres tall in 14″ buckets for $75.50 so what is holding you back?Corylopsis glabrescens
