This complex species conglomerate consists of various coloured flower forms as well as different leaf types that are often so different from each other that it seems hard to reconcile them all as a single species when so many Galanthus as an example look so similar and yet are given species status. Be that as it may all the different forms of O. flava are worth obtaining and growing either in a pot or the ground in a sunny well drained and in fact summer dry aspect. All forms have a tendency to spread a bit but I have never found then invasive so I’ll leave it up to you as to whether you let them loose or not. I have about 5 forms in tubes at $7.50. here are but two of my forms.
