Yes I know that the Oxalis word is like offering someone bubonic plague but this is a truly lovely summer flowering species that i promise will make neat clumps and unless you spread the bulbs around it won’t become a problem.
It grow
s throughout the summer and I would grow it for its bright green and bronze lucky clover like leaves if it did nothing else. It does however have stunning salmon pink flower for months on end as well so don’t be scared (if you still are it makes a lovely pot plant!).
Unlike the winter growing species this one is happy in a little shade although it doesn’t need it as long as it has some summer moisture. It will grow to about 20cms. and i have tubes at the moment for $6.50.
It produces edible roots to boot!
