This Genus contains all evergreen shrubs of dense rounded habit that usually don’t grow more than about a metre tall by as wide in about 10 years. This supposed hybrid will rarely grow even half as tall. They all like constant shade as direct sun can bleach or even burn the leaves. They are all fairly drought tolerant and they all seem to flower in winter.
This one has panicles of sweetly scent creamy green flowers that look attractive again the deep green leaves and as I have never had berries on the stock I grow I assume it is male. I have plants in 15cm. pots at $18.50 but don’t stop at this one, I have several other species and forms all of which have scented flowers and some of which produce berries if a boy is planted near by.
