This plant has to be elegance personified so obviously you need one!
I grew it some years ago from imported seed having never seen it but I was already in love with the Genus as I already stock S. praecox, S. himalaicus, and S.yunnanensis.
This plant grows to about 2metres with long arching stems clothed with evergreen narrow willow like leaves understandably if your Latin is up for it!
In winter it has drooping spikes of soft lemon flowers that are extremely elegant and make good cut flowers, lasting well in a vase.
It likes semi-shaded or morning sun aspect with soil that is humus rich and never extremely dry. If all is to its liking it will quickly grow to full size.
